Venue and Speakers
Holiday Inn Golden Gateway has been reserved for ASAI programs. We have invited Pixar, John Shulters and Robert Becker to present lectures. The panel at SPUR titled "Drawing in the Digital Age" will consist of Tim Culvahouse, John Kriken FAIA, Michael Wilis, and Gil Gorski ASAI.

Architectural Illustration Expo
This year, for the first time ever, ASAI will be hosting a meet the illustrators "Architectural Illustration EXPO" at the San Francisco AIA offices. All attending ASAI seminar participants will have this exciting opportunity to connect to our community of design colleagues, clients, students, and future ASAI members. Come prepared to showcase your illustration work, provide review and tips to those with illustration questions, meet other illustrators, expose the design community to the services you can provide, and maybe even connect with a new client! There will also be vendors showcasing their products. Learn something new from participating vendors. This event is intended to draw in architects, clients, architectural illustrators and students around the bay area and beyond.

Come prepared with your portfolio whether it is physical drawings or in digital format. We will have tables setup throughout the San Francisco AIA office for you to display your work.

Exhibition Opening Reception
Gather for the ceremonial opening of Architecture in Perspective 28. All the award winners and many guests will make this an event not to be missed. Taking place in the beautiful exhibit gallery at Gensler Architects local office. They have generously provided their space for the 2 month long exhibit. Note: office and exhibit space is not open Saturdays.

Awards Banquet & Silent Auction
Join awarded architectural Illustrators for the Architecture in Perspective 28 awards banquet. Come help us celebrate the amazing and varied work our members do.

In long standing tradition, the silent auction, will be held before the awards banquet and is an opportunity for everyone to submit a sketch from the week or other piece of architectural illustration to be auctioned off to benefit ASAI.

President's Retreat

Conference Retreat: October 6 - October 8, 2013

Kick back after the Conference and enjoy the Best of California at a more relaxed pace. Following the Sunday morning Member's Breakfast, vans will take us to fabled Monterey. On the way we'll stop for lunch at Mission San Juan Bautista. Along with San Francisco, the town was a star player in Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo", and it still charms visitors with a timeless Old California quality.

Our home away from home is the Hotel Pacific. The hotel provides a splendid base of operations for visits to the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium at Cannery Row, Carmel, Point Lobos, or perhaps a trip down the magnificent Big Sur Coast.

But remember, our time here is unstructured. Sleep late. Take a walk along the Pacific. Cozy up to a fire and share the memories of your day over a glass of wine with old friends and new.
