ASAI Membership

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a member of ASAI. This is a great time to become a member as we are about to publish AIP 29 which will be distributed through the architectural community world-wide. As a member you would be published in the member directory in the catalog, as well as have access to previous recorded webinars from our members.

Since I am both a member and Executive Director, I have had the opportunity to see the benefits of membership from both sides as well as see where improvements need to be made which is a huge objective for me as an ED.

A big part of being a member of ASAI is that we advocate for legislation that affect artists such as copyright issues and orphaned works. Frank Costantino, co-founder of ASAI, is very active and passionate about this issue. You can see videos about ASAI's involvement with ASIP here: http://vimeo.com/channels/artistsrights and http://www.copyright.gov/orphan/comments/noi_11302012/ASIP.pdf

The ASAI.org website is typically at the top of the search engines for terms "architectural illustrator" and "architectural illustration".  If you are familiar with internet marketing and SEO than you will know how difficult it is to achieve that. As a member you will have a gallery listing on the ASAI.org website. This gives our members a leg up in their marketing efforts. Recently, I have spoken with two members who told me that they've received high end projects because their clients found them through the ASAI directory.

I have been a member of ASAI for over 15 years. The benefits I have experienced have come from attending the conferences, being a board member (Secretary 2006-2008), entering competitions because they've pushed me as an artist to develop my skills, and the credibility to my clients of being a member of a long- standing, respected organization.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to assist.
